~My Publix Trip Yesterday~

I was incredibly proud of myself yesterday because I saved the most ever at Publix, yay!! Took me a while online the night before preparing and about 1 1/2 hours in the store but well worth it!! Here are some great deals that I got and they are still going on!!! First let me start by saying they came out with three new coupon booklets just for Publix coupons (which is great bc you can stack these with the regular ones you have)..one is called Better Eating and I found it on the circular where they have the ads each week, second one is P&G future friendly which was in front of the checkout lanes (you can take more than one of these just make sure if you do you will use them), and the third one is One stop One store which was back by the deli on a table of samples (if you dont see any of these just simply ask customer service)! They also just came out with the new "Spring into Savings" which has deals and coupons 3/26th to 4/15th. Before I go shopping I make a list on word with the items I am going to buy and list what coupons I have for those items. After making the list I then search for more coupons to get the best value. You can print many coupons twice so take advantage of that! ~Smart balance butter is BOGO at $3.49 Reg coupon for $1 off two = $2.49 for both ~Danimals yogurt is 3/$6 Reg coupons for $1 off (had three of these) = $3 for the three ~Kraft cheese is 2/$5 Reg coupon for $1 off 2 Reg coupon for $1 off any cheese purchase = $3 for 2 ~Kraft BBQ sauce BOGO at $1.65 Bought four of them and had four .75 cents off coupons = .30 cents for all four ~Kraft salad dressing BOGO at $3.19 Got four of them had Target coupon for buy two get one free Reg coupon for $1 off = $2.19 for all four ~Quacker oatmeal on sale yesterday and today only for $1.99 Coupon for $1 off = .99 cents Some of these boxes then had a coupon for $2 off any kool aide or country time lemonade mix purchase which I took advantage of and only paid .99 cents for the big container ~Bertolli pasta sauce BOGO at $2.89 Had $1.50 off 2 = 1.39 ~Swiffer wet jet refills and sweeper Had two coupons for buy one refill get one free In the new P&G booklet for Publix there are $1 off any swiffer purchase...I used four of the $1 off so I ended up paying only $4.69 for four of them!! ~John Frieda shampoo and conditioner is $2 off at Publix which made it $3.49 Had Target coupon buy 2 get $3 off (two of these which you can still find) Reg coupon for $2 off one (had four of these) = they paid me for this about .4 cents ~Aveeno baby wash $4.79 bought two Target coupon $1 off (two of these) Regular coupon $2 off two = $5.58 for two (they came out with new Aveeno coupons in this Sundays paper..also like them on facebook and go to the website to get more coupons) Those are a few items that I bought yesterday and I also used the Winn Dixie $5/$30 which ends on the 29th. Go out and get your papers but also all of the special coupon booklets to maximize your savings!! Every little bit counts :)

Target 3/20-3/26

Okay girls my favorite place to shop now with coupons is Target!! Mainly because you can get such great deals and they have new coupons for Target all the time on the website. Just go to Target.com/coupons and you can print out the latest ones. I go atleast once a week to check and always print the coupons twice so I have double. Target also has coupons every once in a while in the paper so keep your eye out for those! I just got back from Target on the northside and here are some great things that I found and bought:

~Pampers and Huggies jumbo pack diapers are 2/$16
Target has $2.50 coupons online so print two of these for Huggies only
Then also use two of the regular coupons
I ended up paying only $7 for two packs and then the register printed out a $3 coupon off Huggies diapers and $1 wipes...so excited now going to southside to use those LOL

~Tide is $9.99
Paper a few weeks ago had $1.50 off Tide target coupon
P&G booklet I had gave me $1 off Tide (go to their website and register to get coupons in the mail)
Then I had buy a tide detergant get a tide stain release for free
Tide stain release was $3.99 but got it for free and I had a $3 off tide stain release so I ended up paying $4.49 for both items

~Scrubbing bubbles toilet cleaning gel was $3.94 and I had a coupon from Targets website if I bought that I got a toilet brush for free
Then I had .75 cents off of each item from Target
One regular coupon for .75 cents off
So for both items I ended up paying $1.69

~Nivea sun kissed lotion was $8.99
Had a Target coupon for $3 off
Regular coupon for $2 off any Nivea lotion
Paid only $3.99

~Aveeno baby wash $4.99
Target coupon for $1 off
Regular coupon for $1 off
Paid only $2.99

Also found these great deals while browsing:

~Dove men deodorant, lotion, and body washes (select ones) were on clearance for $3.38
There was a $2.00 off coupon in paper a while back
Target has a $1 off on website (would make this item only .38 cents)

~Vaseline mens lotion is $3.99
There was a $1.50 off in paper a while back

I know that most of you have just started to collect coupons and wont have the ones that I have mentioned but wanted to show you an idea of the savings!! My strategy is that even if my family doesnt use a certain shampoo, lotion, cleaning product, etc now it doesn't mean that we can't try it for free or next to nothing. So, clip all of the coupons unless you absolutely do not think that you will ever use it but in the case that you do buy something with your coupons and dont use it you can always donate it!! Target also has brand up & up and always has coupons for those items as well. When they are on sale you get a great deal!! Good luck :)

CVS 3/20-3/26

I mainly shop at the CVS on North Socrum or South Florida and Lake Miriam! Please ladies if you shop at other ones and you find good deals (clearance items because they differ by each location) then please comment and let us know!!

Here are some tips concerning CVS:
-You can scan your card at the kiosk and get coupons sometimes 2 or more times in one day. (Sometimes I just stop in there to scan my card to get coupons because you can use CVS coupons with regular ones to save more money)
-You can sign up at cvs.com with your email and get a $4/$20 purchase (they only let you do this once)
-You can buy a green bag tag up by the register for only .99 cents and if you shop and use your own "green" bags or no bag at all they will scan the card. Every 4th time the card is scanned you will earn $1 in extra care bucks.
-Every 2 prescriptions filled will earn you $1 ecb (Make sure they scan your card and not the one they have at the register when you get the prescription)
-Join the beauty club because you will get 10% off after enrolling, $5 ecb every $50 on beauty purchases, and $3 ecb on your birthday!!

Now onto the savings this week and remember to use any coupons you have as well to save even more!!

There isn't a lot going on at CVS this week to excite me but heres what they do have:

~Extra Care Bucks and Free Items~

~$6.99 in ecb wyb Allegra Allergy 5 count at $6.99 (so basically you are paying the $6.99 but will get it right back to spend on your next purchase which would make it free)

~Dawn 9.5-10.3oz is only .97 (limit 5) but if you buy any P&G product that has coupons in it they have $1 off any Dawn purchase

~If you spend $15 on household products such as clorox, 409, pinesol, kleenex, or cottonelle wipes you will earn $5ecb.

~Spend $15 on Loreal eye or face cosmetics and earn $5ecb
Lots of things are on sale for $7 and there are many coupons out there for $1 and $2 off

~Buy gillette fusion proglide razor and you get $2 ecb but there is also a coupon for $4 off

~Buy crest or oral b rinse, clinical gum toothpaste 4oz, or glide clinical protection floss 38.2 yds at $3.49 you earn $2.50 ecb (you are getting it for only .99 cents)

~Schick Intuition, Quattro for men or for women razor buy at $8.79 and earn $4 ecb (There are many coupons for these items as well)

I am trying to do it as easy to follow as I can so please give me feedback on what would help you better understand or if you have any questions at all!!!

Getting Started!!

After my post on Facebook about getting started with coupons I have received SO many emails that I thought that I would start to blog about savings each week. Saving so much money each week really helps my family of three that will soon expand to four!! I cannot wait to help others save money and just please bear with me as I get everything up and running!!! Good luck to everyone and happy saving :)
